Mandatory COVID-19 Testing for Travellers Arriving in the UK from International Destinations
From 0400 on Monday 18 January 2021 travellers from international destinations, including returning UK nationals, must have proof of a negative COVID-19 test prior to arrival in England and Scotland.
This measure is being introduced to help protect against new strains of coronavirus circulating internationally.
The COVID-19 test must be undertaken a maximum of 72 hours prior to your arrival back into England or Scotland. You will have to make arrangements in the destination country to access testing.
Failure to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test may result in you being denied boarding for the journey to England or Scotland, or a fine on arrival.
