2021 is year of the Ox

Chinese New year officially begins on February 12th 2021 and ends on February 26th. .

 

 

Due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic the Canadian website currently advises against all but essential travel to the whole of China.

Travellers should be aware that local and national restrictions can change suddenly and at short notice.

 

Quarantine

Subject to mandatory quarantine in a local government designated facility for 14 days, at your own expense. Compliance with the quarantine period may be monitored by local authorities.

Mandatory quarantine procedures may be different depending on the port of entry and final destination.

 

PCR Testing and Health certificate

 

Since November 7, 2020, a PCR test as well as a serological test within 48 hours of departure and presentation of a health certificate confirming a negative result to these two tests.

 

In case of transit through another country, both tests will have to be repeated in the transit country within 48 hours after departure for China.

 

Government of Canada

 

The Government of Canada cannot intervene on behalf of the travellers who do not meet the conditions for entering or leaving their destination.
